Michael has been one of the main worship leaders at “The Cove“ over the last 5 years. He also works with ministries such as Answers in Genesis, FCA, AACC, Extraordinary Women and Fresh Grounded Faith. He still leads and performs at churches all around the country as well and has been in full time music ministry for over 28 years.
Michael met Kirk and his wife Chelsea on a cruise some years ago. He finally got to introduce his wife Heidi to them. And of course, Michael has worked with Jennifer and Phil for their Fresh Grounded Faith conferences for over 14 years now.
Michael had the privilege of meeting Scott Hanson (Host of the Redzone) some years back. Come to find out, Scott was a fan of his. Who would have known?
Through a series of unlikely events, Michael met the Foto family the day after his heart surgery. His wife Heidi seemed to think he would just be fine, so the story goes. And the rest is history. For the last 3 years, Michael has been touring with them on his Christmas tour. Gaylyn and Katie are string players and piano players and vocalists. Jimmy (Dad) is their sound guy, road manager and would lead in devotions every night. Carolyn (Mom) works their product table and ministers to everyone she meets. Side note: in this picture, Michael had COVID for the first time. He wasn't feeling all that good, but still had an amazing time ministering .
Michael met David back when he first moved to Nashville in 1991. He would end up hiring David to play on most of his demos while he was a songwriter for Meadowgreen Music. Several years later, David would hire Michael to play keyboards on the Twila Paris "Beyond a Dream" Tour in 1994. Since then, David has played on many of Michael's projects. He truly is one of the best guitarists out there.
Michael recently did a reunion concert with Newsong at Thomas Road Baptist Church and was able to perform Rescue, Psalm 40 and When God Made you with the guys. Much fun.
Michael has listened to sermons and read several of Voddie Bachaums's books. Are you allowed to be a fan of a pastor? Anyway, Michael had the opportunity to minister alongside of Voddie last year.
Michael met Steven back in 1995 when he released his very first project. He got to open up for him at an amusement park in Ohio that same year. He was a BIG fan of Steven's music in the early 90's and has admired him for quite a long time. Steven performed at a conference where Michael was leading worship.

This was such a great tour. Michael played keys for opener Clay Cross and then auxiliary keys for Twila.
Michael said Kurt was the only NFL player he ever wanted to meet. He got that opportunity Last year Kurt was gracious enough to snap this photo.
